Product Q&A

Q: How are longer specimens extracted and the piston returned?

Specimens longer than 5in are extracted by repositioning the Adapter Ring after maximum piston travel, and the spring-loaded piston automatically returns to the start position when the release valve is opened.

Q: What is the purpose of the Chemical Resistant Diaphragm Vacuum Pump?

It is a durable, corrosion, and bleach-resistant pump ideal for mid-range vacuum applications, safe for use with cell culture contamination protocols, and suitable for organic aqueous solvents and light acid/base solutions due to its included liquid inlet trap and vacuum regulator.

Q: What are the free air displacement and ultimate vacuum specifications of the pump?

Free air displacement is up to 31.2L/min (1.1cfm) and the ultimate vacuum is 24in Hg (607mm Hg).

Q: What components are included with the pump to manage vacuum and liquids?

It includes a liquid inlet trap and a vacuum regulator, along with an electrical line cord, plug, and power switch.
