The hose on the Vacuum Pump connects to the chamber through two fittings that are attached to the removable chamber top. Hose barb fittings accept reinforced WT-8B 1/4in vinyl vacuum tubing.

Specimens longer than 5in are extracted by repositioning the Adapter Ring after maximum piston travel, and the spring-loaded piston automatically returns to the start position when the release valve is opened.
