HMA-667 Loading Weight is used with the HM-562 Expansion Index Consolidometer when determining the swelling potential of compacted soils. When used together, the HMA-667 12.1lb (5.7kg) loading weight and 0.6lb (0.27kg) top porous stone achieve the 1lbf/in2 confining load needed for testing before saturation.
