Swivel Top Platens are required to measure the compressive strength of soil-cement specimens in compliance with ASTM D1633. Platens distribute loads properly for soil-cement testing with Load Frames.
HMA-129 can test soil-cement samples up to 4in (102mm). It has a diameter of 4.25in with 1/2in x 20tpi attachment. Suitable for 500lbf to 2,500lbf S-type Load Cells and all Gilson Load Rings.
HMA-129B can also test soil-cement samples up to 4in (102mm) and has a diameter of 4.25in. The difference is that it has a 3/4in x 16tpi attachment. This model is available individually or is included in the HMA-687 and HMA-687D Soil-Cement Component Sets as a component. Suitable for use with 5,000lbf and 10,000lbf load cells.
HMA-129A can test soil-cement samples up to 6in (152mm). It has a diameter of 6.25in with 3/4in x 16tpi attachment. Suitable for use with 5,000lbf and 10,000lbf load cells.
HMA-129C can test soil-cement samples up to 6in (152mm). It has a diameter of 6.25in with 1-1/4in x 12tpi attachment. Suitable for use with 20,000lbf load cells.
